Docsu Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how WorldVision Soft (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information in connection with the Docsu mobile application (“Docsu”, “the App”). It applies to the Android application distributed through Google Play and to the pages of worldvisionsoft.com that describe it.
Docsu is a document saver and organizer. It lets you scan paper documents with your camera, import files already on your device, organize them into folders and categories, tag them, and find them again using filtered search — all while working fully offline.
By installing and using Docsu, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.
2. Privacy at a glance
- Your documents stay on your device. Docsu does not upload, back up, mirror, or transmit your scans, files, folder names, tags, or search queries to us or to anyone else.
- We cannot see your documents. We operate no server that receives them. Even if we wanted to read them, there is nothing on our side to read.
- No account required. You do not create a login, and you do not give us a name, email address, or phone number to use the App.
- The App works offline. An internet connection is only needed for optional features such as advertising and store purchases.
- We do not sell your data and we do not share your documents with advertisers or data brokers.
- You are in control. Deleting a document in the App deletes it from the App’s storage. Uninstalling the App removes the App’s data from your device.
3. Information we do not collect
We want to be specific, because “we care about your privacy” statements are usually vague. Docsu does not collect, transmit or store on our servers:
- The contents of any document you scan, import, or open
- Photographs or camera frames captured during scanning
- File names, folder names, categories, tags, or notes you create
- Search terms or filter selections you type into the App
- OCR or extracted text from your documents
- Your contacts, calendar, call logs, SMS messages, or microphone audio
- Your precise location (GPS)
- Any government ID number, financial account number, or similar identifier that may appear inside a document you store
4. Information stored locally on your device
To do its job, Docsu writes data to private storage on your device that only Docsu and the Android operating system can access:

This information is stored in the App’s private sandbox directory and, where you choose, in locations you explicitly pick (for example, when you export a file to Downloads or share it to another app). It is not readable by other apps unless you export or share it yourself. We have no access to any of it.
5. Information collected automatically by third parties
Some limited technical information may be collected by third-party services embedded in the App. This information is about your device and app usage — never about your document contents.
5.1 Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of Docsu may display advertisements served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect and process:
- Advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID / app set ID)
- Device information such as model, operating system version, language, and screen size
- Coarse, IP-derived approximate location (country or region level)
- Ad interaction events such as impressions, clicks, and ad load errors
- Diagnostic data required to prevent fraud and invalid traffic
Docsu does not pass any document data, file names, or search terms to advertising SDKs.
Where required by law, you will be shown a consent request before personalized advertising is enabled, and you may choose non-personalized ads. You can change your choice at any time from the App’s settings, and you can reset or delete your advertising identifier in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
Google’s practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy and in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Purchasing the ad-free upgrade removes advertising SDK requests from the App.
5.3 Purchases (Google Play Billing)
If you buy a premium unlock, the transaction is processed entirely by Google Play. We receive a purchase token and anonymized order information confirming that a purchase was made. We never receive or store your name, billing address, card number, or any payment credentials. Payment handling is governed by Google Play’s Terms of Service and Google’s Privacy Policy.
6. Permissions the App requests, and why
Docsu asks only for what a document scanner and organizer needs. Android will prompt you at the moment a permission is first required, and you can revoke any of them later in Settings → Apps → Docsu → Permissions.

Camera frames are processed on the device to produce your scan. They are not streamed anywhere.
7. How we use information
We use the limited information described above only to:
- Provide the core functionality of scanning, saving, organizing, filtering and searching documents
- Remember your settings and your purchase status
- Diagnose crashes and improve the stability and performance of the App
- Display advertising in the free version and prevent ad fraud
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
We do not use your information for profiling, credit decisions, automated decision-making with legal effects, or training machine-learning models on your documents.
8. Data sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not share your documents with anyone.
Limited technical data is processed by the service providers named in Section 5 (Google AdMob, Firebase, Google Play Billing) strictly to perform those functions.
We may disclose information if legally required to do so by a valid order of a competent authority, or where necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property. Because we do not hold your documents, we cannot produce them in response to such a request.
If our business is ever transferred, this policy will govern the information involved until you are notified of a replacement.
9. Data retention and deletion
- Documents and metadata are retained on your device until you delete them, clear the App’s data, or uninstall the App. We do not control this retention, because we do not hold a copy.
- Deleting a single item: open it in the App and delete it. If a recycle bin or trash feature is enabled, the item is removed permanently after you empty it.
- Deleting everything: go to Android Settings → Apps → Docsu → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall the App. This is irreversible.
- Files you exported or shared to other locations or apps are outside Docsu’s control and must be deleted where they now reside.
- Crash reports are retained by Google for a limited period according to Firebase’s retention practices.
- Advertising data is retained by Google under its own policies; you may reset your advertising identifier at any time.
Because we hold no account and no server-side copy of your data, there is nothing on our side for us to delete. If you believe we hold information about you and you wish to have it removed, contact us at support@worldvisionsoft.com and we will respond as described in Section 11.
10. Security
Docsu stores your documents in the App’s private, sandboxed directory, which Android protects from other applications. Where you enable App Lock, access to the App additionally requires your biometric or device credential.
Network requests made by the App (for ads and purchase validation) use encrypted HTTPS connections.
No method of electronic storage is perfectly secure. The security of your documents also depends on the security of your device, so we recommend enabling a screen lock, keeping Android updated, and avoiding installing the App from unofficial sources. Docsu should only be installed from Google Play.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to access it, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, port it, and withdraw consent.
Because Docsu is designed so that your content never leaves your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly and immediately inside the App and your device settings, without asking us. For rights relating to data processed by Google’s advertising and crash-reporting services, you may also exercise them through Google using the links in Section 5, and through your device’s ad settings.

European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland (GDPR/UK GDPR). Where we or our providers process personal data, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (providing the App’s functionality and purchases), legitimate interests (crash diagnostics, fraud prevention, and non-personalized advertising that funds the free version), and consent (personalized advertising, where the App will ask you before it is enabled). You may withdraw consent at any time in the App’s settings, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA). We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising when you opt out of personalized ads. You have the right to know, delete, correct, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights.
Other jurisdictions. Where local law grants you broader rights, we will honor them.
12. Children’s privacy
Docsu is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate action. Where advertising is shown to users identified as children, only non-personalized ads are requested, in line with Google Play Families policy requirements.
13. International data transfers
We are based in Bangladesh. The third-party services listed in Section 5 are operated by Google and may process the limited technical data described there on servers located in the United States and other countries. Those providers rely on their own transfer mechanisms, including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
14. Third-party links and destinations
Docsu lets you share or export documents to other applications and services you choose, such as email clients, messaging apps, or cloud storage apps. Once a document leaves Docsu, it is governed by the privacy policy of the receiving app or service, not by this one. Our website may also link to third-party sites we do not control.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App, our practices, or the law. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be announced in the App or on the Google Play listing before they take effect. Continued use of Docsu after an update means you accept the revised policy.
